Precautions for Machining of Synthetic Stone Workholding Fixtures

The machining of synthetic stone tooling fixtures requires attention to the following points:
Material characteristics
Synthetic stone has the characteristics of high hardness and brittleness, and suitable cutting tools such as tungsten steel knives should be selected during processing to prevent rapid tool wear and collapse
Processing equipment
CNC engraving machines and other equipment can be used for processing, which can achieve high-precision and high-efficiency cutting, engraving and other operations, ensuring the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the fixture
Processing technology
Due to the poor thermal conductivity of synthetic stone, heat accumulation is prone to occur during processing, leading to problems such as material burning and deformation. It is necessary to control cutting parameters reasonably, such as reducing cutting speed and feed rate, and adopt appropriate cooling measures, such as air cooling, water cooling, etc
Dust treatment
Dust will be generated during processing, and effective dust collection devices should be equipped to clean the dust in a timely manner to prevent it from adhering to the skin or being inhaled into the human body, which may pose a health hazard to the processing personnel
Quality inspection
After processing, strict quality inspection is required for the synthetic stone tooling fixtures, including testing of dimensional accuracy, flatness, perpendicularity, roughness, etc., to ensure that the fixtures meet the design requirements and usage standards
